Albuquerque students to design ‘I Voted’ stickers for 2024 election in Bernalillo County

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For the upcoming 2024 general election in Bernalillo County, local officials are calling on local students to design the iconic “I Voted” sticker.

“I’ve eagerly awaited the opportunity to initiate this project, and I’m thrilled that it’s finally happening. I can’t wait to witness the creativity and passion that students will bring to this project,” Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover said in a press release.

More than 100 candidates will vie for New Mexico state representative seats

The county is collaborating with Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) to let students submit design ideas for the stickers. Visual arts students from K-12 grade will submit designs, and the winning design will be announced on April 11.

“We are excited to see what kind of designs will be created by our talented APS visual arts students, guided by their highly qualified art instructors. As a past teacher of graphic design and a graphic designer, it is exciting to participate in providing an avenue for students to explore this type of art form,” Michelle Sanchez-St. Andre, APS visual arts director, said in a press release.
