First reported on by the Independent, the Dubai-based airline has just launched, in partnership with Matrix, “the world’s first moisturizing sleepwear for the skies,” which is offered to all First Class passengers traveling overnight. According to the Emirates website, the pajamas use “Hydra Active Microcapsule Technology” to keep your skin soft while flying—in fact, the press release explains that billions of capsules in the fabric gently release nutrient-rich sea kelp as you move around, preventing dehydration and stimulating circulation while you sleep. You’re able to bring the pajamas home once you’re finished with them, and you’ll want to since the Microcapsule Technology locks in the moisturizer and keeps it working on your skin for up to 10 washes.

The airline also offers Bulgari amenity kits for both First and Business Class passengers, complete with the brand’s woody floral fragrance, Eau Parfumée Au thé Noir, skin care essentials to keep your complexion in tip-top shape and a lip balm to ensure your pout is never chapped while onboard. But they’re not stopping there—according to the airline, most A380 planes feature an onboard “Shower Spa”, as well, where First Class passengers can relax and pamper themselves with a selection of Bulgari toiletries and signature organic seaweed VOYA products (these are also found in all washrooms). Once you’re through rejuvenating in the spa, the helpful folks at Emirates recommend replenishing your energy with one of their freshly pressed detoxifying juices at the juice bar (also onboard).

Though we’ve stashed away our fair share of tips and tricks to keep skin plump while flying, we’re hoping this is just the beginning of onboard skin care—a trend we can definitely get behind—because with amenities like these at your fingertips, your skin will be thanking you when it comes time for landing.
