Aiken man found dead in backyard shed in River Bluff subdivision

AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – The Aiken Department of Public Safety and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old Aiken man.

Authorities responded to the scene of a shooting incident on the 300 block of Greenwhich Drive in the River Bluff subdivision, which is near Silver Bluff Road.

Investigators say the shooting occurred on Monday morning at approximately 11:33 A.M.

According to the Coroner’s Office, Jalen Jones, 22, was found in a shed in the backyard of the home and pronounced deceased on the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Coroner’s Office states that Jones will be autopsied on Thursday in Newberry.
