Based on her 1939 book of the same name, Murder is Easy follows one of Christie's lesser-known characters: Superintendent Battle.

The story is set in England in 1954, and it sees Fitzwilliam meet a woman named Miss Pinkerton on a train who tells him that there is a killer on the loose in the village of Wychwood under Ashe.

The residents of the sleepy village believe that the deaths were accidental, but Miss Pinkerton knows otherwise so she warns Fitzwilliam.

Sadly, she later turns up dead whilst travelling to Scotland Yard. Fitzwilliam decides to bring her killer to justice before they can strike again, but for some people murder is easy.
