Advisory board for Santa Teresa airport seeks 3 new members

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Airport Advisory Board for the Doña Ana County International Jetport at Santa Teresa, New Mexico, is seeking three new members.

Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, May 17.

Applicants must reside in Doña Ana County or El Paso. Licensed pilots are encouraged to apply.

Board members work closely with the jetport manager, county engineer, planning director and a representative of the County Attorney’s Office to “identify safety, growth, development or administration issues relevant to the airport,” according to a social media post by Dona Ana County.

Selected applicants will serve a three-year term which will run from July 1 through June 20, 2027.

“The Board serves staggered terms, meets monthly and periodically reports to the Board of County Commissioners, recommends changes or informs about upcoming challenges and opportunities in the airport’s operations or administration,” according to County.

All Airport Advisory Board meetings comply with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, which means they are open to the public and the agendas for regular and special meetings are available to the public, at least 72 hours prior to each meeting. They are posted on the County’s website.

To request an application, call Doña Ana County International Jetport Manager William Provance at (575) 644-2358 or email him at williamp@donaanacounty.org.
