It looks like the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has seen more action than just blitzes and pass rushes.
In 2001, a 90-minute hardcore porn film, “The Gangbang Girl #32,” was filmed on the iconic football field, which is home to the USC Trojan football team — the irony of which is not lost on us here at The Daily Caller.
In addition to a number of erotic sex acts, the stadium also hosted the 1932 and 1984 summer Olympics, as well as John F. Kennedy’s 1960 acceptance of the Democratic nomination for president. Pope John Paul II once celebrated Mass on the field.
Crossover football and porn fans aren’t the only ones who think the filming location is totally awesome: Adult film stars also marvel at the the legendary stadium.
“I’ve made movies for about 20 years and I’ve done a lot of things, but that one really stands out… I mean, who gets to have sex on the Coliseum floor?” a star of the film who goes by the name Mr. Marcus told the Los Angeles Times.
The film’s football theme revolves around a football coach who wants to prove that his players are not “fags,” Deadspin reports. Naturally, in order to prove their heterosexuality, the team members engage in a number of activities involving naked women. Scenes were filmed on the football field, and other scenes filmed in the stadium’s locker room were eventually cut from the movie.
It is curious that people are just now recognizing the site of “Gangbang Girl,” since it was released in 2002.
The filming of a movie with a questionable title and premise isn’t the only controversy that has plagued the stadium. The Coliseum, which is jointly owned by Los Angles, Los Angeles County and the state of California, was the center of a scandal in 2011 when general manager Patrick Lynch resigned for accepting bribes.
Lynch pleaded guilty to conflict of interest charges, and was forced to return $385,000 in kickbacks he received from the stadium’s contractor. Another ex-employee, events manager Todd DeStefano, pleaded not-guilty to bribery, embezzlement and conspiracy charges, the Times reports.
The Coliseum is the Pac-12′s largest football stadium, and one of Los Angeles’ largest employers. The stadium is funded on the taxpayer’s dime — which raises questions about the legality of filming a pornographic film on state and local property.
“The Gangbang Girl #32″ is widely available on the Internet. And no, we will not provide a link to it.
