ADRIAN — Two fulldome shows will be featured during the month of May at Adrian College’s Robinson Planetarium.

The program “Cosmic Colors” will run May 3, 10 and 17, while “Life in Space” runs May 24 and 31. Both programs begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public, according to a news release from Adrian College.

The Robinson Planetarium is inside Peelle Hall at the corner of South Charles Street and Williams Street. Lawn signs will be posted directing visitors to the planetarium and available parking.

“Cosmic Colors” is a 50-minute program that looks at the colors of the universe and their elemental associations in the field of astronomy. Visitors will take a journey across the entire electromagnetic spectrum and discover the many reasons for color, like why the sky is blue.

Guests will also take a tour in a plant leaf and inside the human eye, investigate x-rays by voyaging to a black hole, see the actual color of a dinosaur based on recent evidence and look summer star patterns.

“Life in Space,” meanwhile, will investigate the new field of astrobiology as the exploration of the solar system proceeds with the Artemis Space Program.
