ADP board battle, GE price target cut again, EA falls on weak holiday outlook

Bill Ackman’s fight with ADP (ADP) is heating up. The billionaire investor says the payroll company is trying to smear his reputation. For its part, ADP plans to file a complaint with the SEC saying Ackman has “false and misleading” information on the company. Remember, Ackman is looking to win three seats on ADP’s board. The vote will be held next week.

General Electric (GE) just can’t seem to catch a break. Another firm slashed its price target. A JPMorgan (JPM) analyst cut GE to $17 a share and reiterated its underweight rating. The analyst says the move reflects earnings estimates and recent headwinds.

Electronic Arts (EA) shares fell early Wednesday after the video game maker issued a weaker-than-expected holiday sales outlook for this quarter. EA’s CEO says it’s always conservative around Christmas because it’s a tough market to predict. The maker of Star Wars and Need for Speed video games also says competition is stiff from Activision’s new launch of Call of Duty.
