Adorable clip surfaces of Prince George whispering to his new teacher

Prince George melted hearts on Thursday as photos of him looking less-than-enthusiastic surfaced from his first day of school.

The heir to the British throne, dressed in blue Bermuda shorts, a sweater with his school's official logo and loafers, saw his new teacher Helen Haslem walk towards him and he nervously hid behind his father Prince William's arm.

The Head of Lower School at Thomas's Battersea approached the young prince and shook his hand. George appeared to whisper something to Haslem, and an adorable clip of the moment has surfaced online.

According to fans, he appeared to whisper "hi" as he timidly put his hand over his mouth and gave a shy smile. Stop the cuteness!

George's new teacher also made headlines, with many quick to point out her stunning appearance. It also seems as if her outfit for the first day of school -- a dusty pink dress from L.K. Bennett -- was inspired by George's mom. Duchess Kate wore a similar ensemble during a visit to Australia two years ago -- a pale pink wool suit by Alexander McQueen -- and her go-to designer is actually L.K. Bennett.

Unfortunately, Kate wasn't able to accompany George on his big day. The 35-year-old mother to Princess Charlotte and George is currently pregnant with baby No. 3 and is suffering from severe morning sickness.
