Adopt Me! Clara the Puppy Is the Perfect Mix of Sweetness and Smarts
Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Clara, a pooch currently available through the Pick Your Paw animal rescue in Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
She’s a combination of breeds — German shepherd/Australian shepherd/Boxer mix — but Clara is 100 percent cute! This pretty 7-month-old girl is already fully house/crate-trained, and knows lots of basics commands like “sit,” “come,” “stay,” and “give.”
Currently being fostered with her sister pup and two senior dogs, Clara is considered a bit on the shy side, so slow intros to people and dogs are recommended.
“She loves playing outside with her sister, running around, and fetching the ball. She is super smart and attentive to learn commands,” her bio says.

The best family for her would be one that loves the great outdoors as much as she does. Given the time to get to know you, Clara sounds like the cutest companion.
“Once she warms up to you,” her bio says, “she will lay down for her belly rubs.”
