There is a vintage-inspired item that's been spreading like wild fire as a crafting supply. Can you guess? Well, today'sCraft Of The Dayuses this to dress up an otherwise plain lamp shade. And we have to say, it does the trick! This lampshade looks amazing. Though we have to admit, we're a little shocked the transformation is due to...doilies.

This project is perfect for taking a lamp we love (but a shade we hate) and revamping it. Adding doilies gives this fixture a whole new look but costs far less than buying a similar one in a home decor store.
