Things that are clear: Adam Levine is a hot dad. Behati Prinsloo Levine is a gorgeous human. Their spawn, Dusty Rose, is destined to be genetically blessed. Not so clear??? What her first words will be. How suspenseful! And Levine and Prinsloo, as part of, I don't know, their mission to be Normal Parents That Are Also Somehow Celebs, are now in a bit of a competition to see who can get your favorite Pantone-named baby to speak first!

Levine shared this during a an interview with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show (and is what Fallon for if not for making celebs look #relatable?): Basically, Levine wants Dusty Rose to say "dada" first and Prinsloo wants Dusty Rose to say "mama" first, because even the hottest of dads are still going to be men and want to come first, whatever.

"I've been working 'dada' hard," Levine said to Fallon. "You work on it really hard and you slip it into every single thing you say. Like, if she's being cute, you're like, 'Oh, my God! Look at how cute you are! Dada!'"

"We've gotten some dada-esque sounds, but nothing concrete," he said.

"My wife is working 'mama,' so it's like, it's a battle to the finish," he added.

He said it, not me: "a battle to the finish." Indeed.

My vote is cast for Prinsloo to "win" because she carried little Dusty Rose for 9 months and pushed her out of her body. She deserves to have "mama" be the first thing Dusty says! But if that fails, they can compromise on...I don't know, banana, or something.
