DENVER (KDVR) — While the popular TV series “Ted Lasso” ended almost a year ago, Coloradans will have the chance to see one of the show’s stars when they visit the Mile High City in May.

Denver Film announced that Hannah Waddingham will be in Denver in two months.

The actress is most well-known for her part in the TV series “Ted Lasso” as Rebecca Welton, the owner of a soccer franchise in London. She’s claimed Emmy and Critics Choice wins, as well as two Golden Globes for this role.

You might also recognize her from “Game of Thrones,” “Sex Education,” “Hocus Pocus 2” or “The Hustle.”

While she lives in London, she’ll be heading to Denver soon.

Denver Film announced that Waddingham will be at the Women+Film luncheon, accepting the Barbara Bridges Inspiration Award and joining the event for a conversation about her work in front and behind the scenes on May 16. This event is ticketed at $150-$200.

“In general, the award is a tribute to her comprehensive, award-winning body of work and the inspirational roles she has played/portrayed throughout her career,” said Marty Schechter with Denver Film.

Along with her on-screen work, Denver Film also attributes her success to her role in theatre, where she is most known for her contribution to West End musical theatre over the last 20 years, said Denver Film. She had three Olivier nominations for her roles in “Kiss Me Kate,” “A Little Night Music” and “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”

Denver Film confirmed with FOX31 that Waddingham will be the in-person guest at the luncheon but is unable to confirm the rest of her schedule in Denver.

FOX31 reached out to Waddingham’s agency as to other planned activities in Denver. We’re still waiting for a response.
