Actress Erin Moran's Famous Performances

She was 56 years old.

Popular actress, Erin Moran, best known for her role of Joanie Cunningham, the zesty kid sister of Richie Cunningham in the hit seventies show "Happy Days" is no more. She rose to fame on the television screen from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s.

It still remains unclear how she died. The police said an autopsy is pending, according to reports.

Moran was only 14 when she signed on to play the role of Joanie Cunningham, the younger sister of Richie Cunningham in "Happy Days," which aired from 1972 to 1984. Richie Cunningham was played by Ron Howard, a child actor who is now a famed director. Howard has created some of the most memorable movies in Hollywood such as "A Beautiful Mind," "Apollo 13," and hit comedies "Parenthood and "Splash," reports said.

However, Moran had fallen on tough times since it was reported in 2012 that she was kicked out of the trailer she had been sharing with her husband Steve and his mother, who was annoyed of Moran's partying ways.

1) Happy Days (1974 - 1984)

The sitcom was about the ideal Cunningham family who lived through the 1950s with help and guidance from the lovable and almost superhuman and handsome greaser, Fonzie.

2) Joanie Loves Chachi (1982-1983)

The romantic adventure of Joanie Cunningham and Chachi Arcola, played by Moran and Scott Baio respectively, is about their pursuit of musical careers in Chicago. It was a spin-off of "Happy days".

3) Twirl (1981)

The movie was about two best friends who compete for the title of "Miss Twirl" but with the pressure and interference from their respective parents to win the competition, their friendship goes through many challenges.

4) "Galaxy Of Terror" (1981)

The movie was a science fiction suspense thriller in which a rescue space ship crew goes through horror experiences that were projected by their own imaginations.
