The invitation is still valid, but actor Henry Winker is not sure when — or even if — it will be accepted.

Winkler, who shot to fame as Fonzy on “Happy Days” in the 1970s and has remained a star since, admits he didn’t have a favorite NFL team until he watched Patrick Mahomes play.

While on “The Rich Eisen Show” in 2022, Winkler professed his admiration for Mahomes and offered to cook dinner for the Chiefs quarterback and his wife, Brittany.

Winkler will be in Kansas City this week as Planet Comiccon opens Friday at Bartle Hall.

Among the events will be a small “Happy Days” reunion with Don Most (Ralph Malph) and Anson Williams (Potsie).

“I’m ecstatic to return to Planet Comicon Kansas City with my fellow castmates and celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this incredible event. Kansas City is one of my favorite cities to visit,” Winkler said in a news release. “I can’t wait to see the fans and maybe I can finally take your star quarterback up on those dinner plans we discussed. I’ll see you at Planet Comicon March 8-10.”

The bad news for Winkler is the Daily Mail reported the Mahomes family is in Mexico.

Winkler is such a big Chiefs fan that he said in an interview Wednesday with Steven St. John and Nate Bukaty on WHB (810 AM) that he never doubted KC would win the Super Bowl.

“I always knew that that was going to be the outcome,” Winkler said. “But how I became a Chiefs fan is an amazement to me, because I don’t actually have a team. I was never really into sports except for fly fishing. And then I just blurted out on the ‘Rich Eisen Show,’ ‘Hey, do you know Patrick Mahomes? Because he is so good. He plays with such excitement.’”

Winkler then recalled meeting Mahomes when the Chiefs played the Chargers at SoFi Stadium in 2022.

“I must say he’s never actually called for dinner,” Winkler quipped. “The chicken is getting cold. It’s been on the table for quite a while.”

Other stars expected to be at Comicon include Paul Bettany, Ian McDiarmid, Dermot Mulroney, Corbin Bleu and Ron Perlman. You can find more information on Planet Comicon here.
