Activists March From Berlin to Aleppo to Protest Syrian War

Activists began walking the “refugee route” between Berlin, Germany, and Aleppo, Syria, on Monday, December 26, to show solidarity with the people of the Syrian city.

The route is to travel through Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey, according to the group’s website. It is the way they believe refugees travel between Aleppo and Berlin.

The group is also carrying white flags, which can be seen in this video, to say the war in Syria must end.

“We want to go and help people like us, who just weren’t lucky enough to be born in Berlin, London or Paris. We will not tolerate the siege of Aleppo anymore,” the group’s website says. Credit: Facebook/Civil March for Aleppo via Storyful
