Aces of Trades: Justin Bruce likes to stay busy with multiple occupations
LANCASTER — To say Justin Bruce is a busy man is an understatement.
Along with working as a real estate agent for Keller Williams, he also owns Bruce Chiropractic. His wife, Kate, is the chiropractor.
"I run the Bruce Chiropractic business some hours of the week and sell real estate some hours of the week," Bruce said. "And I consult for some small businesses in town as well. I like to stay busy."

As part of his Keller Williams duties, the Missouri native also works in the company's entertainment division that deals with higher-end clientele.
"It is a hyper-local group of agents across the country," he said. "Less than 1% of Keller Williams agents are accepted. Locally, we'll start to build relationships with sports teams in Columbus and entertainers.
"If a player comes from Miami and they're coming to Columbus they know that me and the other agents in this market center are ready, willing and able to help them with whatever they need. Whether it's a luxury rental, whether it's a purchase, whether it's for their family, we're here and ready to serve them."
Bruce got into real estate into after local agent and friend Zack DeLeon asked Bruce to help him sell commercial real estate. Before that, he was traveling and selling advertising for 12 years. But Bruce said that business basically went away when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020.
He said he didn't know how much he would enjoy real estate until he got into it.
"I thought I'd do a lot of commercial, and I started doing more residential for people we knew," Bruce said. "Just seeing people's faces at the closing table and their kids...the biggest purchase of their life and you get to be a part of that. It's more of an honor on my end that they allow me to be a part of it."
As for Bruce Chiropractic, Bruce wrote the business plan while his wife was in chiropractic school.
"She graduated December of 2015 and hung a shingle March 1, 2016, and the rest is history," he said.
The business was on Main Street but moved to 422 N. Columbus St. in November.

Bruce is active in the community. He's on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fairfield County board and the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce, among other things, including activities at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church.
"We try to stay as involved as we possibly can," Bruce said.
Away from work, Bruce, a father of two, spends time with his family and friends. He also enjoys golf.
