Acclaimed wine bar to close 2 SF locations, including at Chase Center

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An acclaimed wine bar with two locations in San Francisco will be closing both of them, including one at Chase Center. Mission Bay Wine & Cheese announced on its website Tuesday that it would be shutting down its recently opened location at Chase Center along with its original location at 114 Channel Street.

Bay Area city named 2nd-most ‘family-friendly’ travel destination in US: Yelp

“To all our wonderful customers, we have tried mightily for 4 years at our 114 Channel Street location, and for 15 months now at Chase Center, to reach a level of sustainability, and to find additional working capital to keep the two locations afloat,” a statement on the wine bar’s website read. “Unfortunately we have not been successful in either endeavor.”

The location at Thrive City is set to close immediately. The Channel Street location will remain open for retail only through the end of the month. The business said it had plans to restructure without going into specifics.

Both locations for Mission Bay Wine & Cheese had five-star reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor.
