‘Accidental’ fire leaves 2 with minor injuries

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to a fire in the southwest part of the city overnight.

It happened near 86th and Tower shortly after midnight. Smoke was coming from every side of a single-story home.

The fire was extinguished within 7 minutes, and damage was contained to the building.

Two people were treated and transported to the hospital with minor injuries. AFR said the cause of the fire was accidental.
