New Accessories for Indian Scout Bobber

New Accessories for Indian Scout Bobber

Bobbers are great looking bikes, but they're not really known for their cargo hauling capabilities. Given the limited storage space imposed by the bobber style, having the choice of additional cargo capacity for longer rides is always welcome. That's why Indian has rolled out a new line of accessories for the Scout Bobber.

First up are a set of spacious saddlebags designed to fit the profile of the lean machine. These saddlebags feature an integrated liner for a measure of weather-resistant protection, blacked-out hardware, and the top flaps are enhanced by an embossed Indian logo.

The next available area to add carrying capacity is the rear fender, which will accommodate the stout Solo Rack that mounts solidly to the fender struts. The rack features a quick-release system for easy removal and installation, and is sized to blend with the Bobber’s minimalist style.

The rack is useful for strapping on a small ditty bag, but when space for human cargo is required it can be swapped for a passenger seat using the same mount system. The premium-quality leather cover matches the seat, with a high durability factor that will age well over time. The pillion seat is also available with a back rest.

Tank bags are the most convenient place for quick access to small stuff on the road, and Indian has us covered there. The magnet-mount tank pouch is big enough to hold sunglasses, light gloves, keys, and such, and the top cover features a clear plastic window to display a small portion of road map or the screen of a smartphone. (Which, by the way, the prudent rider will always carry on his or her person, in the event it’s needed when one is no longer aboard the motorcycle. Purposely or otherwise.)

The 2018 accessory catalog also includes a slim solo seat, 16-inch ape hanger handlebar, and spoked rims to complete the vintage framework

For an even more muscular motif, retro riders can choose the Indian Scout Stage 1 slip-on exhaust system “with custom style and a more impressive exhaust note. These slip-ons replace the stock mufflers and produce a rumbling, throaty exhaust note. They also give the bike high-performance style with their premium black finish, the perfect addition to a bike’s blacked-out custom treatment. This less-restrictive exhaust lets the engine ‘breathe’ more freely, which results in crisp, quick throttle response that a rider will feel every time the light turns green.”
