Academy Sports + Outdoors to open at Kingsport Pavilion
KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Academy Sports + Outdoors is coming to the Kingsport Pavilion shopping center.
According to construction permits filed with the city, the new Academy Sports will open in the former Dick’s Sporting Goods suite.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe to open in Kingsport
Renovation work is underway and the area has been fenced off. A banner posted on the fence says an Academy Sports is “coming soon.”
An opening date has not been announced.
It will be the area’s second Academy Sports store with the first located in Johnson City in the Hamilton Place shopping center.
The Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Kingsport Pavilion closed in early 2021.
