The building's 15 lofts are accessible through shared foyers, whose decor, emphasizing materiality in concrete and warm wood, sets the tone for the apartments. When looking for a craftsman to create the concrete walls and floors, Rosen immediately thought of Tadao Ando, arguably the master of the medium. Luckily, the well-connected Rosen considers the Japanese architect a friend. "I called up Tadao and asked him, 'How do you get your concrete so smooth?'" the developer recalls. "He told me about these guys, and they flew in a team. They all came in hazmat suits and were so efficient."
