ABQ RIDE launching new transportation service

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – ABQ RIDE strives to be the first choice for public transportation in Albuquerque with over 20 routes across town and zero fares.

Coming March 18, ABQ RIDE Connect is the newest on-demand micro transit service. The service is designed to complement existing service by providing transportation to areas where there is limited fixed-route service. ABQ RIDE Connect will operate in two zones; one in the southwest mesa and another in the Rio Grande/North Valley area.

Riders must download the ABQ RIDE Connect app. From there, they enter a pickup and drop off destination, the pickup and drop off destination must be in one of the designated zones. Riders will be picked up by one of the new ABQ Ride electric vans and taken to their drop off location. ABQ RIDE Connect will operate between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
