ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Five of the City of Abilene’s splash pads are set to open on May 4.

City of Abilene says splash pads won’t open as planned

The Nelson, Redbud, Scarborough, Sears, and Stevenson splash pads will be open to the public on Saturday, May 4. However, the grand opening of Coach James Valentine’s pad is yet to be announced. The Parks and Recreation Department is currently working on the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Adventure Cove is set to open on May 18, with the regular season starting on May 25.
