Abducted baby found in Abilene

ABILENE, Kan. (KSNW) — Police in Abilene found a 5-month-old baby who had been abducted from Minnesota. Officers say the non-custodial parent had taken the child.

On Thursday, just before 8 p.m., the Abilene Police Department got an alert from a Flock license plate reader. The alert notified officers that a vehicle associated with the missing baby was in Abilene.

Officers found the vehicle and the occupants in the 2100 block of North Buckeye Avenue. The baby was taken into police custody, and arrangements are being made to get the child back to Minnesota.
