Abby Lee Miller Reporting To Prison June 30
Abby Lee Miller will soon have to face the music — behind bars. The “Dance Moms” alum is due to enter prison before the end of next month.
A representative for the former TV personality has revealed that the 50-year-old will surrender herself on June 30. The confirmation comes after Miller was sentenced to one year and one day behind bars for concealing bankruptcy assist and failing to report an international monetary transaction by a federal judge in Pittsburgh on May 9.

“Abby will be checking in to prison on June 30,” an unnamed rep for Miller told Radar Online. “Although she has not yet received an official confirmation on where she will be serving her time, she has heard good things about Apple Valley or Victorville, which are both prisons located in California.”
During her court date Miller was told she had 45 days to surrender. Miller was previously rumored to be starting her sentence on June 25.
While Miller has a long sentence ahead of her, she’s going into prison without any court fines hanging over her head. Radar Online reported Wednesday that according to court papers from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Miller has paid off her full judgment balance of $120,000. Miller was previously instructed to pay her fines within 30 days of her sentencing earlier this month.
When Miller does get out of prison, she won’t be completely free. While numerous reports indicate that she could end up serving a lesser sentence of 9 months, her sentencing does include two years of supervised release. People Magazine reports Miller has also been ordered to give a DNA sample per her felony charge.
“I’m just going to pretend I’m shooting a movie and we’re on set and I’m there for 10 months,” Miller has said of her plans for prison. “And that’s how it’s going to be.”
Following her release, Miller has hopes to get back into the entertainment industry. After parting ways with Lifetime’s “Dance Moms” in March, she revealed plans for another TV series. She has yet to officially announce any television projects, however, a it seems she shouldn’t expect her former “Dance Moms” co-stars to join her.
Following her sentencing, Miller has posted numerous throwback photos of her students Maddie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, Mackenzie Ziegler and more to her Instagram account. Despite tagging her former students in the post, none of them have publicly responded to her messages.

“Dance Moms,” however, will continue on while Miller is behind bars. Following her leave from the show, “Dancing With the Stars” professional Cheryl Burke took over the show’s title role. And, in true Miller fashion, she doesn't seem to love her replacement. After Burke called her new students “traumatized” by their prior experiences filming the series, Miller fired back.
“I think it’s a joke. In my studio, every single day, I had numerous producers, [choreographer] Gianna [Martello] and some type of child advocate servicer person who’s the tutor/social worker who is there, who watches … everything that’s said, everything that goes on,” Miller said. “So, how could any traumatizing be going on? That’s ridiculous.”
It is unknown at this time when Lifetime will being airing new Season 7 episodes of the series, but we have a few ideas.
