Aaron Hernandez Meets With Attorney Jose Baez as He Vows to 'Vigorously Fight' Additional Charges

Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of the first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd in April 2015, but his legal fight is far from over.

Hernandez, 26, still faces a second murder trial for the 2012 deaths of two men he met at a nightclub. Prosecutors allege that he gunned the men down after a dispute. He has pleaded not guilty.

On Monday, Hernandez met with attorney Jose Baez to discuss the second case. Baez is best known as the lead attorney for Casey Anthony's 2011 murder trial. He has since represented several high-profile defendants, including Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon, former Aruba murder suspect Gary Gioradano, and "King of Instagram" Dan Bilzerian.

According to two different sources, Hernandez is in the process of revamping his legal team to fight the additional charges. In addition to Baez, Hernandez has met with Harvard Law Professor Ronald Sullivan.

Hernandez is also appealing his life sentence for the Odin Lloyd killing.

Incarceration hasn't been smooth sailing for Hernandez, who was remanded to Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center, a maximum security prison about 40 miles west of Boston.

In May 2015, Hernandez got into brawl with two other inmates. He also got a new tattoo on his neck – a five-point star that says "Lifetime," which may be a symbol of the Bloods gang.

Still, a source close to Hernandez says that he vows to "vigorously fight" all the legal charges against him. "He still believes he can beat this."
