AAA says Texas retail gasoline prices rise 3 cents

AAA says Texas retail gasoline prices up 3 cents this week, national price drops by 3 cents

HOUSTON (AP) -- Retail gasoline prices across Texas have risen by 3 cents this week to an average of $3.43 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported that the average nationwide gas price dropped 3 cents from last week to $3.60 per gallon.

The association found that Corpus Christi has the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $3.32 per gallon. The most expensive price at the pump was in Fort Worth, costing $3.50 per gallon.

AAA says recent higher gasoline prices in some parts of the country have been due to problems with refinery maintenance and also with low supplies in the Great Lakes region.
