AAA: Maryland drivers paying 3 cents less at the gas pump when compared with a week ago

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Motorists in Maryland are paying three cents less at the pump when compared to a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Sunday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular gas in Maryland was $3.48. That's compared to $3.51 a week ago.

Motorists in the region are paying about the same amount as a year ago. At this time last year Maryland drivers were paying $3.47 per gallon.

The price of gas in the region is fifteen cents less than the national average of $3.63. AAA says it expects the national average price of gas to fall below $3.50 as June continues.
