A Restaurant That Helps You Take the Perfect Food Instagram Photos

The wildly popular fad of people Instagramming pictures of delicious food is so prominent, you are almost guaranteed to see at least one table indulging in the trend at any given restaurant. Well if you can’t beat them…join them!

One restaurant in Tel Aviv, Israel has decided to give the people what they want. Carmel Winery is responsible for creating this unique dining experience at Catit. Here, dishes are served on plate and bowls that are specifically structured to take your food porn skills to new heights. There are actual phone stands built into these plates that serve as a sort of tripod for your camera. The bold, sweeping curvatures of the platters provide a dramatic backdrop for photos as well.

One option in particular takes the cake for being the most outrageous. A rotating plate enables the diner to spin the dish to achieve different angles or even shoot video.

The five-course meal offered at Catit will cost a pretty penny, though. This dining and photography event will set you back approximately $155 U.S. dollars. Still, plenty of people have been flooding into the restaurant, eager to post delectable pictures to their Instagram.

The impetus behind the oh-so-millennial idea emerged from the desire to engage with the younger generation of diners “who connect with food through the lens of a smartphone.”
