A red burger hatches in McDonald’s Singapore ahead of ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ release

McDonald’s has launched on 19 May (Thursday) a new range of Angry Birds foodie treats that includes a chicken burger inspired by the leader of the Angry Birds flock, Red.
The Super Red burger features red buns with a smoky chicken patty, a sliced tomato and an egg, topped with a fiery pepper mayo sauce.
The burger can be bought ala-carte from S$6.10 or as part of an extra value meal. The item is available from stores and via McDelivery while stocks last.
Angry Birds Combo Box nuggets
McDonald’s is also introducing Angry Birds Combo Boxes. The combos will feature the classic Chicken McNuggets, Spicy Nuggets and a brand new flavour – the Jalapeno Chicken Nuggets.
The combo with the new flavour will be available from 9 June, while the other McNugget combos will be available from 19 May.
McDonald’s has also come up with the Lemon Custard McFlurry, inspired by the Angry Birds character, Chuck. The new addition will have tangy yellow swirls of lemon curd together with crunchy brownie bits.
The fast food giant’s introduction of the new food items is in line with a global partnership with Sony Pictures Releasing International for the release of The Angry Birds Movie, which is based on the hit video game and comes out in local cinemas on 26 May.
