9 injured, 1 possibly killed, and people trapped under rubble following Russian missile strike on Dnipro

Nine people were injured after Russia targeted a high-rise building in the heart of Dnipro, Mayor Boris Filatov reported on April 19.

"The very center of the city! Civilians," he wrote on Telegram.

"Nine injuries already."

A five-story building in the city center was partially destroyed in the Russian attack, and people may be trapped under the rubble, said Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head, Serhiy Lysak, on April 19.

Infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih district was also damaged.

There are reports that a woman was killed in the  Synelnykove district, where damage was also reported.

Russia shelled Ukraine overnight with missiles and airstrikes, including Kh-22 missiles. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and southern Ukraine were targeted in the attack.

Explosions were also heard in Odesa.
