Mick Jagger Welcomes 8th Child
Mick Jagger: Octodad? Well, that would technically be correct if Jagger copped a Nadya Suleman and became a father to octuplets. Instead, the Rolling Stones frontman and girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, 29, welcomed the birth of their baby boy on Dec. 8 in New York City.
In a statement released by publicist Bernard Doherty, “Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well, and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”
The new addition to the Jagger brood is the eighth child for the rock singer. Jagger has seven other children, ranging between the ages of 17 to 45, from previous relationships with Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall, and Luciana Gimenez. Jagger also has five grandchildren and became a great-grandfather in 2014.
The Rolling Stones are enjoying a banner year, having just performed two nights at the Empire Polo Fields for Desert Trip (aka Oldchella) in Indio, Calif. The group also recently released a new blues album called “Blue & Lonesome” this week and dropped their latest video, “Ride ’Em Down,” featuring Kristen Stewart.
