860 Russian soldiers killed or wounded, dozens of military equipment destroyed in last 24 hours – General Staff
Another 860 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded in Ukraine in the past day, along with dozens of destroyed heavy military equipment, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on Facebook on May 5.
Total irrecoverable and combat sanitary losses of the enemy in Ukraine are rapidly approaching 475,000 soldiers since the onset of the full-scale invasion:
Personnel: 474,260 (+860)
Tanks: 7,375 (+9)
Armored combat vehicles: 14,179 (+18)
Artillery Systems: 12,212 (+21)
Multiple Launch Rocket Systems: 1057 (+1)
Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems: 790 (+2)
Aircraft: 349 (+1)
Helicopters: 325 (+0)
Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs): 9,636 (+25)
Cruise Missiles: 2,147 (+1)
Ships / Boats: 26 (+0)
Submarines: 1 (+0)
Automotive equipment and tanks: 16,418 (+37)
Specialized Equipment: 2002 (+4).
The data of casualties aligns closely with the UK Defense Journal’s April 27 report, which estimated that around 450,000 Russian troops have been killed or wounded since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
On April 17, a joint investigation by the BBC and independent Russian outlet Mediazona confirmed the death of more than 50,000 Russian soldiers in the ongoing brutal war against Ukraine.

On March 14, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that, according to Western intelligence services, Russian losses since beginning of full-scale invasion of Ukraine have exceeded 350.000 people.
In February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian losses amounted to 180.000 killed and up to half a million wounded
