This 86-Year-Old Congressman Totally Gets Google Glass

Google Glass might look like a future-far away device reserved only for the tech-obsessed gadget nerd population, but as Rep. John Dingell — who, having spent 57 of his nearly 87 years on this earth, is the longest serving congressman — shows even old people can get into it. In this endearing clip, Dingell asks for directions to a "good" Chinese restaurant. And, with the help of young hill staffer, he successfully uses Glass to to get an answer, tapping and swiping his way through it. "This is quite the machine!" he concludes. If an octogenarian (Dingell's 87th birthday is on July 8) can get some pleasure out of the cyborg future, there's hope for the rest of us yet.
