81-year-old man hit, killed in Upper Marlboro

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said that an 81-year-old man was hit and killed on John Rogers Boulevard on Monday evening.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) responded to the area of John Rogers Boulevard and Courtland Lane around 11:05 p.m.

Officers found Tomel Burke of Upper Marlboro in the road with injuries. Responders took him to the hospital, where he died shortly afterward.

PGPD said that the driver hit Burke in the southbound lanes. She was uninjured and stayed at the scene after the crash.
