8-year-old dead after being hit by car in Kettering

An 8-year-old is dead after being hit by a car in Kettering Sunday.

Around 1 p.m. Kettering police and fire were called to the 1200 block of Imperial Boulevard to reports of a 8-year-old girl hit by a car, according to a spokesperson for Kettering Police Department.

The girl was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation by police, but at this time no charges have been filed against the driver, the spokesperson said.
