I-74 to I-57 ramp to close Monday

May 17—CHAMPAIGN — The ramp from eastbound Interstate 74 to southbound I-57 will close for around a month starting Monday.

Illinois Department of Transportation employees will be working on the transition into new pavement built on 1-74 west of the interchange.

Weather delays could mean the ramp is closed for a longer time.

In the meantime, motorists will be directed to a detour on northbound I-57 and Market St.

IDOT asks that drivers consider alternate routes since delays can be expected due to the detour.
