I-70 closed after potential shooting incident

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The left lane of westbound Interstate 70 is closed after a driver flashed a pistol and potentially fired at another driver.

Colorado State Patrol received a call around 1 p.m. Thursday from a driver alleging another driver flashed a gun at him. It has not been confirmed whether shots were fired.

Both lanes of westbound I-70 were closed near mile marker 67 at 1:20 p.m. The left lane reopened at 2:25 p.m. and the scene remains active.

A suspect is currently in custody.
