As smoke filled “most floors” on the side where the fire broke out, other fire departments helped evacuate the building. Residents were later cleared to go back to their apartments.

The unit where the fire occurred was unoccupied at the time, according to the release. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
