7 injured in 4-car crash Saturday in Caledonia

Mar. 11—CALEDONIA, Minn. — Seven people, including four children, were injured after a four-vehicle crash Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Caldeonia.

A 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2017 Ford Taurus, 2017 Toyota Higlander and 2021 Chevrolet Traverse were all traveling northbound on Minnesota Highway 44 when they collided at the intersection of West Washington Street around 12 p.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe, Roger Oren Lanswerk, 79, of Mabel, Minnesota, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet Traverse, Joshua Jerome Uhlenhake, 39, of Ossian, Iowa, was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger, Samantha Uhlenhake, 38, of Ossian, Iowa, was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Four children were also transported with non-life threatening injuries.

The drivers of the Ford Taurus, Jon Lee Houge, 69, of Onalaska, Wisconsin, and Toyota Highlander, Molly Jane Beatty, Decorah, Iowa, were not injured.

The Houston County Sheriff's Office, Caledonia Fire Department, Caledonia Ambulance and Spring Grove Ambulance also responded to the scene.
