At 63, Madonna Dons Thigh-High Tights And Heels To Flaunt Sculpted Legs

  • Madonna, 63, is showing off her epic, toned legs in an Instagram post from this weekend.

  • The singer poses in a Versace robe, thigh-high tights, and Louboutins in bed.

  • Madonna varies her workouts to allow for muscle recovery and holistic muscle strength, her trainer explains.

In thigh-high black tights and fabulous Louboutins, Madonna knows how to cause a stir. The 63-year-old singer just posted some IG pics lounging in a bed and showing off her killer legs in an iconic Versace robe.

The “Material Girl” singer accessorized her nighttime 'fit with silver, chunky necklaces and black, angled sunglasses. Of course, her rosy lips matched the signature red bottoms of her black Christian Louboutin heels.

Fans raved about the look: “legend! icon! queen!” one commented. The four-photo series showed the look from all angles. And one side profile really put the singer’s toned legs and impressive figure on full display. She really has been all about the legs recently, and I am loving it.

Her personal trainer, Craig Smith, explained how Madonna gets those seriously sculpted legs. “She does a combination of circuit training, interval training, and resistance training,” Smith told The Daily Mail Australia. The pop star works out for at least 30 minutes, five to six times per week, with workouts ranging from barre and yoga to martial arts and boxing. All these different workouts help to condition and tone her muscles while also working on core strength to flexibility, Self reported.

That being said, Madonna’s workout is not actually that extreme. In other words, I could *probably* do it. According to her trainer, Madonna's daily routine consists of a dance-based warm-up to raise her heart rate, upper body work, such as push-ups and planks, lower body moves that target thighs and legs, and isolated core work. Each workout ends with stretches and meditation.

Madonna is a big fan of mixing up her workouts, which keeps her balanced and strong. Switching up your workout routine helps to avoid injury and accelerate weight loss, One Medical explains. By allowing the overused muscles to rest, you are giving your body time to heal and recover, while strengthening other muscles that your body hasn't used in a while. The unexpected change from the normal routine makes your body work harder and thus, burn more calories.

Madonna has perfected this process, mixing up her workouts and preventing injury while keeping consistent with her six weekly workouts. Her trainer commented on this strategy: “The main thing we focus on is keeping her energy levels up,” Smith told People. The recovery time is just as important as the workout time.”

Keep it up, Madonna! You’re an eternal inspiration!
