62nd National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium held in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A scientific showdown is taking place in Albuquerque, with more than 230 high school students showing off their original research. The 62nd Annual National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium hosts students from all around the country as they compete for scholarships and cash awards.

“I get the chance to see and meet a bunch of new kids from all over the county who are some of the brightest minds in their respective fields,” said Albuquerque Academy Sophomore Aarush Tutiki. “I get to watch their poster presentations and their oral presentations, and I get to learn a lot about what they’re doing and how they’re really moving forward the field of science as a whole.”

This year’s event is being held from May 1-4. Approximately 130 mentors, teachers, and other school personnel are also attending in support of the students.
