60-year-old woman stabbed man to death inside Bronx apartment, charged with murder: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11)– A 60-year-old woman has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a man to death inside the Walton Henwood Apartments in the Bronx on Saturday morning, police said.

Officers from the 46th precinct responded to a 911 call for aid at 1752 Walton Avenue a few minutes just after 10 a.m. Officers found a 32-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive; he had multiple stab wounds to his chest, authorities said.

Emergency Medical Services were called, but he was later pronounced deceased at the scene, officials said.

Police sources tell PIX11 News the 60-year-old attacker, identified as Jacqueline Ratliff, and the 32-year-old victim are known acquaintances.

Ratliff was arrested at the scene and is facing the following charges:

  • Murder

  • Manslaughter in the first degree

  • and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, authorities said.
