6-year-old girl, 2 adults die after crash in Ford Heights

FORD HEIGHTS, Ill. — A crash in Ford Heights killed three people, including a 6-year-old girl Thursday night.

The crash happened around 7:55 p.m. near Lincoln Highway and Cottage Grove Avenue.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Police says the driver of a Chrysler was driving east on Lincoln Highway when they hit a Nissan.

The driver of the Chrysler and the driver of the Nissan died, the sheriff’s police said. The medical examiner has identified them as 50-year-old Demetri Bell and 26-year-old Kimberly Taylor.

According to the Lake County, Indiana Coroner’s Office, Kimbella Tolliver, 6, of Calumet City, died at Franciscan Health Dyer. She was in the Nissan.

A 4-year-old girl who was in the Nissan was taken to a nearby hospital, the sheriff’s police said.

Additional details surrounding the crash haven’t been released.
