6 Home and Away questions we have after this week's Australian episodes

From Digital Spy

Home and Away spoilers follow from this week's Australian-pace episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away aired another four new episodes in Australia this week, as Jasmine Delaney finally faced the consequences of her actions, and life started to look up for Nikau Parata.

Here are six big questions we've been left with after the latest episodes.

1. Will Jasmine Delaney ever be forgiven?

This week's episodes saw Home and Away air the huge scenes that fans had been waiting for, as Jasmine's recent deception came to light. Her friends in Summer Bay were stunned as her tragic obsession with baby Grace was exposed – from stealing keepsakes belonging to the little one, to badmouthing Tori with nasty lies online.

Understandably, Tori wasn't too pleased to finally discover what was going on, so decided that she needed distance from Jasmine indefinitely. The week's episodes ended with Tori firmly threatening Jasmine with the police if she didn't stay away from her and Grace.

It's clear to Jasmine's closest friends that she needs help rather than condemnation, with her erratic behaviour influenced by the devastating loss of Robbo and her experience with a phantom pregnancy.

The Bay's residents are usually a forgiving lot, so could Jasmine be welcomed back in if she seeks help and respects Tori's boundaries for a while?

2. Will Tane ever go straight?

It was another difficult week for the Parata family, as they struggled to stay on top of things following Gemma's departure. The boys were under pressure to resolve a missed rent payment, with no easy answers now that they didn't have Gemma's wage to help.

Although Tane promised to search for work and make an honest living, it wasn't long before he disappeared to take on a dodgy job for a quick fix instead. Ari was livid over Tane going AWOL, feeling that he'd been left in the lurch with no information on when his brother would be back.

While Gemma has left the Bay for the foreseeable future, Tane will be back next week – flashing the cash after another successful criminal job. But with Ari continuing to disapprove, will he ever turn his back on this risky lifestyle?

3. Can Nikau and Bella be happy together?

Nikau's week ended on a more positive note, as he got his wish by reuniting with Bella. The Summer Bay teens have stayed in the friend zone since Bella returned from therapy and insisted that she wasn't in the right headspace for a relationship.

In the latest episodes, Bella felt in a better place to move forward with Nikau and they shared a kiss. This followed days of Bella loyally supporting Nikau through his various family dramas.

While Nikau was left on cloud nine, Bella's decision will spark some concern in upcoming episodes, as her protective older brother Colby wonders whether she's ready. Could there still be hurdles to come for Nikau and Bella?

4. Can Marilyn ever fall back in love with John?

Marilyn was forced to make a potentially life-changing admission, as John pushed her to acknowledge that she no longer loves him. Tensions had been building between the pair since Marilyn became John's carer following his stroke.

John knew that Marilyn was only acting out of duty rather than love, leading to many arguments between the once-rock-solid couple. When John urged Marilyn to see this, she finally snapped and confirmed that she had indeed fallen out of love with him.

While Marilyn deeply regretted being so honest afterwards, John wasted no time before making alternative arrangements over his care.

Irene was the only one who provided a ray of hope, telling Marilyn that she could fall back in love with John once she has escaped the day-to-day pressure of caring for him. Could this prove to be the case?

5. Are Ziggy and Dean on rocky ground?

Ziggy and Dean's relationship hit a couple of new hurdles, prompted by Maggie and Ben's departure from Summer Bay. Dean was alarmed to spot Ziggy crying over her and Brody's wedding album, which had been found by Maggie while she was packing. Ziggy clarified that she was only emotional over the pictures of her parents.

Ziggy also annoyed Dean by proclaiming that she'd have nobody once Maggie and Ben had left. Dean was hurt by this, feeling forgotten by her again. In recent weeks, Ziggy had also forgotten her and Dean's first anniversary.

By the end of the week, Ziggy appeared ready to move forward and commit to Dean, starting off by arranging a divorce with Brody. Will this ease Dean's concerns over their relationship?

6. Does Mackenzie have feelings for Tane?

Mackenzie is currently in a relationship with Ari, but it's no secret that Tane is also interested in her. A few weeks ago, Tane told Mackenzie that he thought they'd be good together – and he was even open with Ari about how he felt.

Mackenzie has previously shut down all of Tane's attempts to flirt with her. However, there was clearly a spark when Mackenzie crossed paths with a shirtless Tane in the Paratas' kitchen during a sleepover with Ari. Could a classic soap love triangle be on the cards soon?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
