This will be the fifth Dunkin' Donuts in Henderson County and third in Hendersonville. Other locations include 2547 Chimney Rock Road in Hendersonville, 845 Spartanburg Highway in Hendersonville, 97 Terminal Drive in Fletcher, and 754 Upward Road in Flat Rock.

The application was submitted by Hunter Earney, who is the assistant project manager at Fleming Engineering. The property, zoned regional commercial and located next to G.B. Shoes and also the Naples Post Office, is owned by Rick Moore of Mills River, according to county land records.

The construction start date and completion date are unclear as attempts to reach Earney were unsuccessful.

The Dunkin' Donuts will be a 2,230-square-foot building, and the address is 121 S. Naples Road. To make way for the new business, an old brick building currently on the property would need to be removed. The site plan shows 16 parking spaces around the building and a drive-thru.

According to its website, Dunkin' Donuts was established in 1950 and is now the largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States, with more than 13,200 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets. The company is headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts.
