5th annual Schuylkill Gives supporting local nonprofits began noon Wednesday

Organizations across Schuylkill County are gearing up for another successful Schuylkill Gives campaign.

The 5th annual Schuylkill Gives will begin at noon Wednesday and end at noon Thursday, for 24 hours of online giving to registered nonprofits who serve Schuylkill County.

Schuylkill County nonprofits were invited to register to participate, beginning in March, according to a press release form Schuylkill Area Community Foundation, the event's organizer.

Donors may view information about each of the 35 participating nonprofits at the Schuylkill Gives website, www.schuylkillgives.com, to learn more about their missions and projects.

Donors may select more than one nonprofit to support, adding each organization to their basket and then checking out to finalize the donation.

This year’s participating nonprofits include:

• Help Net Ministries Inc.

• Schuylkill County Conservancy.

• Open Door Project.

• Schuylkill County's VISION.

• Block of Art.

• Shenandoah Area Free Public Library.

• Pottsville Free Public Library.

• Walk In Art Center.

• Friends of the Schuylkill Area Community Foundation.

• Pinegrove Historical Society-Stanhope Schoolhouse Project.
