52-year-old dies in two-vehicle semi crash in western Kansas

GRAY COUNTY (KSNT) – A 52-year-old man died in a crash after being hit by a semi-truck in an intersection in western Kansas on Thursday.

At 10:35 a.m. in Gray Couty, a 52-year-old man from Montezuma, Kan., was driving a Ford f550 north on County Road 10 and failed to yield the right of way to a 2013 Kenworth semi-truck. The two vehicles crashed in the middle of an intersection, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.

The 52-year-old man was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead by hospital staff. The driver of the semi-truck, a 69-year-old man from Ulysses, Kan. was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
