1 What is National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week and when is it?

"National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week, or NDAFW, is an annual health observance that inspires dialogue about the science of drug use and addiction among youth. This year, National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week is March 18-24."

2 What is the purpose of NDAFW?

"NDAFW provides an opportunity to bring together scientists, students, educators, healthcare providers, and community partners to help advance the science and address youth drug and alcohol use in communities and nationwide."

3 What events will be held to support the week?

"Locally, the Neighbors Building Neighbors prevention programs will be sharing and posting videos, quizzes, etc. on our social media platform to raise awareness on substance use issues that we are currently facing within our community. Visit our Neighbors Building Neighborhoods and Muskogee Community Anti-Drug Network (CAN) Facebook page the week of National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW)."

4 How can I help?

"One way to help during National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) is for parents to start a conversation with their child about drugs and health."

5 Where can I get more information about NADFW?

"For more information about NADFW, you can visit their website: https://nida.nih.gov/research-topics/national-drug-alcohol-facts-week. You can also visit the Neighbors Building Neighborhoods, www.nbn-nrc.org, or Muskogee CAN, www.muskogeecan.org, website for additional information and resources."
